Woven cottons hold a special place in my heart and the Japanese are masters at creating the most texturally interesting wovens you can imagine. This quilt was designed to celebrate the Japanese artisans' skills with texture and clean design. I was aiming to honour the simplicity and understatement of the Japanese aesthetic. The result is a quilt that is texturally satisfying, calm, and wonderful to wrap yourself up in!

This pattern gives you the opportunity to celebrate any low-volume set of fabric that you enjoy. The many varied tones in the background small squares produce a quiet yet interesting setting for the three feature 16-block squares. Choose your preferred fabrics for the pops of coral and aqua used in this pattern.

This project is suitable for both beginners and more experienced quilters. The quilt finishes at 56" x 72".
