This original design of mine is a departure from my natural tendency towards more subtlety in my quilt designs, but it is consistent with my preference for clean lines and strong asymmetrical balance in my quilts.

This particular design can be made bright, bold and cheerful with fabric selections similar to the ones I have used here. The design can be made much more subtle and subdued with a quieter selection of fabrics. The choice is yours.

The quilt is assembled by first strip piecing stratas and cutting out the hexagons using a template I provide in the pattern. The joining triangles are next cut and sewn to the hexagons, after which the rows of the quilt can be assembled and then joined together.

The quilt finishes at 58" x 72", making it a good size for a young child's bed. It can easily be made longer with the addition of more background fabric top and bottom.

The pattern is a PDF download... one file for the pattern and one for the templates.
