Hello to all my many friends and wonderful customers.
I have finally come to the realization that running an online shop doesn't give me the joy and fulfillment that having in-person contact with my fabric loving friends provided. For that reason, along with my impending 76th birthday, I've decided to close my business completely.
However, and fortunately for you, I have a fair stock of fabric that I need to sell in order to do that. So starting today, I'll be:
running online sales of fabric bundles and pre-made kits, reducing them all to cost prices
offering two in-person drop-in sale days:
Saturday January 17, from 10:00 to 2:00
Monday January 26, from 10:00 to 2:00.
at the in-person sale days, in addition to the sale prices on bundles and pre-made kits, all regular width fabrics on the bolt will be priced at my cost of $10/yard.
At the in-person sales, I will not have my Moneris machine (I sent that back some time ago), so payment will have to be by one of these means:
cash
e-transfer
PayPal
cheque.
My website will close at the end of February 2026. My Etsy business will continue selling my patterns for the time being.
As many of you know, I started this business when I lost my job in academia at age 55. It has brought me tremendous joy and uncountable moments of personal connection with other creative people. For that, I thank each of you. I will look forward to seeing many of you on my two dates in January, and around and about after that!
I have a few new photos of some of my quilts to share with you. Hope you enjoy them.

As you can tell, I've not only been having lots of fun making new quilts of various sizes, I've also found the Smartist App that lets me put my quilts into different settings. Yet another rabbit hole to explore!
OK... that's it for now. I wish you all good health, good friends, much laughter and even more kindness!
Sending my best wishes to you all. Thanks for being part of my quilting community...
Lorna
