THE JOB IS YOURS. I'M DONE NAMING QUILTS!

Updated: Apr 21, 2023

You did it again. Many creative suggestions came in for the name of this quilt and it was hard to decide amongst them. However Linda M. won with her suggestion. The name for my new quilt is "Off the Grid!". So what these two quilt naming contests have taught me is that you all are much better at coming up with creative names for my quilts than I am, so you can expect to have requests from me in the future to name my new quilts. Thank you to all of you who participated.

Here's a view of the complete quilt. I've finally written the pattern for this. It is simple to make but complicated to describe, so I've had a few helpers pattern-check it for me and it is now ready to go. It's a great scrappy quilt or charm square quilt. Nick Turcan from Mystery Stitch Designs quilted it for me.

Janet Clare, one of my favourite designers for Moda, has a new fabric line called Collage. Here are the fabrics that just arrived this week. You can find them on my online store or in person if you come to shop! New marcia derse extra-wide backings

Another of my favourite designers, Marcia Derse, has just come out with a couple of new extra-wide backing fabrics. These are $34/M or $31/Yd. They are exceptionally good value for very high quality, interesting quilt backs.

Below are a couple of photos of a quilt that Jean recently completed. We started with my Kyoto quilt design and adjusted it to the very specific needs of her king size bed. She did an amazing job and Nick Turcan of Mystery Stitch Designs quilted it.

I have more lovely photos to share but will save those for my next post. A new quilt, some customer quilt photos, and even more lovely new fabrics. Wishing you all well, and hoping that one day soon spring arrives!
